Arz-e-Pakistan

Arz-e-Pakistan focuses on tackling environmental issues prevalent in Pakistan and strives to provide its volunteers an insight into these issues through practical, hands-on activities. The project has worked on documentaries related to the environment. Numerous plantation drives, of at least 50 trees each, are conducted regularly. Clean up drives are also held to give our volunteers a better sense of the country’s waste management system. NGP has frequently partnered up with Todd’s Animal Shelter, providing them monetary aid as well as spending time with the rescued animals there, and learning more about the rescue processes. The Arz-e-Pakistan team was able to carry out multiple smog mask distributions, in an attempt to raise awareness about the hazardous effects of smog to the human body. The team plans on installing water filters in rural areas surrounding Lahore as well as setting up a well to provide clean water to everyone. In partnership with NGP’s Street School Project, underprivileged students are also given seminars and talks on protecting the environment and its importance in our lives.
